Make-up artist Bobbi Brown will leave her eponymous brand by the end of 2016, turning the page on 25 years of building her brand.
The brand's owner, confirmed the news in a statement, adding that global brand president Peter Lichtenthal will continue to oversee the business.
Bobbi Brown found the brand on her quest to find a lipstick that suits all skin tones. It was this idea that grew into a highly successful, global beauty brand.
"I have never ever thought about being a businesswoman, being someone in the public eye and certainly not with such a giant business. If there was a crystal ball I'd have to run the other way." she said. "But what I love is being able to bring something to the market that actually changes women's lives - and then people get to buy it and I get to make more things.", she said in a recent statement.
Brown's next venture is unknown as yet, but in a statement released this week, she hinted the brand's 25th anniversary being a turnpoint, "that made me realise it was time to start a new chapter and move on to new ventures." Whatever the new ventures may be, the beauty world will sure welcome the leading make-up artist with open arms.
